Product Safety

Last updated 20 October 2026

In short

  • We only sell products we believe are safe when used as intended, and we exclude higher-risk categories altogether.
  • If you think a product is unsafe, stop using it and email support@sellopop.com with “Product safety” in the subject.
  • If a product is recalled, we contact everyone who bought it and offer a refund or replacement.

1. Who is responsible

Responsible businessSello Commerce Services Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom

2. How we keep products safe

  • We exclude higher-risk products, such as loose batteries, weapons, liquids, small strong magnets, medicines, food and toys for children under 3. The full list is on our Prohibited Items page.
  • Products are screened automatically and by staff before they appear on SelloPop, and can be blocked at any time.
  • Product information: where it applies, product pages show the manufacturer’s name and contact details, the responsible person, product identifiers, photos, and any warnings or safety information, and instructions are provided in your language where required.
  • Items are checked on arrival at our warehouse for the wrong item and obvious damage before they are shipped.
  • We follow up on every report and keep a record of safety complaints, so patterns are spotted early.

3. How to report a safety issue

  1. Stop using the product and keep it out of reach of children.
  2. Email support@sellopop.com with “Product safety” in the subject, or use “Report this item” on the product page.
  3. Include your order number (if you bought it), the product name or link, what happened, and photos if you can. If anyone was hurt, please tell us.

We acknowledge safety reports within 1 business day. While we investigate, we may remove the product from sale. If a product is found to be unsafe, we refund everyone affected and report it to the authorities where the law requires, through the EU Safety Business Gateway or to the UK Office for Product Safety and Standards.

If anyone is seriously hurt, contact the emergency services first.

4. Recalls and safety notices

  • If a product we sold is recalled, or we find it is unsafe, we email every buyer we can identify with clear instructions.
  • You get a full refund or a safe replacement, and you never pay to return a recalled product.
  • We list current recalls on this page.
